Merneith – first recorded queen-regent of Ancient Egypt.  
– Fun Fact: Only after discovering the Palermo stone where she was listed as the King’s mother did historians realized she was a female.

Neferusobek – first confirmed queen of Egypt that ruled as a pharaoh.
– Fun Fact: She became a king’s wife upon marrying her full or half brother Amenemhat the 4^th, who died 9 years later without leaving a male heir. She has tried to cut her husband out of the picture by successfully promoting propaganda that her father has always intended for her to rule alongside and after him.
